Elizabeth Porter

School Director and Director of French Immersion Programs

I am a National Board Certified French teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in French and Linguistics, a Master’s degree in Education and a French degree called a DEUG in French as a Foreign Language (FLE).  I have a passion for France and all things French.

I spent several years living in France. I went to college in Normandy, France and I also spent a significant amount of time in Paris. I taught elementary and middle school English in Normandy. When I returned to the United States, I taught for 3 years at the French Immersion School of Washington and then taught High School French for several years.

I love language and culture and have a passion for linguistic and Global Education.

My unique method of teaching language not only promotes fluency, but also reduces brain and sensory issues making it ideal for accommodating all learning styles and special needs.

On a personal note, I am married to my husband David and I have two sons- Daniel and Noah.  I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Natalie Peck

Teachers’ Assistant

Hello, my name is Natalie Peck. I am a student at Ohlone Community College majoring in French and Computer Science. My goal is a career in translation that blends my computer interests with my French. I got involved with Bon Voyage World Languages Academy when my brother signed up for lessons and a study abroad trip to France. The two of us joined the trip to CAVILAM in Vichy, France and had an absolutely wonderful two weeks of learning French and touring the surrounding cities. Currently, I help  as a TA and onboard students into Canvas at the beginning of each semester and assist the teachers.
